What is the "platform fee"?

The platform fee is what Donately collects from each donation. This fee helps us sustain and improve the platform for all of our users, and keep the transactions safe and secure through our world-class security suite.

Our platform fee is separate from processing fees imposed by Stripe or PayPal. Both fees are deducted from the donation automatically prior to being deposited into your bank account.

Note that you do have the ability to ask the donor to cover both this fee and the processing fees from Stripe/PayPal.
