Legacy dashboard vs the 2026 dashboard

Donately's new dashboard is currently available as an invite-only beta. Most organisations are still using the legacy dashboard, and everything in it keeps working exactly as it does today.

Over the coming weeks we'll be opening the new dashboard up more widely, and you'll be able to switch between the legacy dashboard and the 2026 dashboard whenever you like — so you can try the new one without committing to it.

Why some articles are marked "legacy dashboard"

The two dashboards do the same things, but they don't look the same. An article tagged legacy dashboard was written against the older screens, so its screenshots and its "click here, then here" steps match what most people are looking at right now.

If you're in the beta, those articles are still accurate about what the feature does and how it behaves — it's the navigation and layout that have moved. We're working through them, and the tag tells you which ones we haven't rewritten yet.

Which one am I using?

If you weren't invited to the beta, you're on the legacy dashboard. If you were, you'll know — the new dashboard looks noticeably different from the moment you sign in.

Nothing changes for your donors

This is entirely about the admin experience. Your donation forms, campaign pages and donor receipts are unaffected by which dashboard you use, and donors never see either one.
