Get your giving statement for tax time

Print or save a summary of everything you gave through Donately in a year, broken down by organization, from your donor dashboard at my.donately.com.

Donations & donors2026 dashboard

At tax time you need a record of what you gave. Donately keeps a running summary for you at my.donately.com, covering every organization you support through Donately, so you do not have to chase each one separately.

Donately does not email you a PDF. The statement lives in your dashboard so it is always up to date and you can come back to it whenever you need it.

You may have received an email from an organization you gave to, with a link to sign in and get your statement. That link takes you to the same place as the steps below. If you have never signed in before, follow Set up your donor dashboard first: you activate your account once, using the email address you donated with.

Get your statement

  1. Sign in at my.donately.com.
  2. Select Tax reporting in the sidebar.
  3. Choose the year you need. It opens on last year, which is usually the one you want.

You will see your total given, how many organizations you supported, and a table with a row per organization showing the amount you gave them and their tax ID.

Select Print. Your browser's print dialog opens with a clean copy of the page: the menus and buttons are stripped out, so what prints is the statement itself.

To keep a digital copy, choose Save as PDF as the destination in that same dialog rather than a printer. That PDF is what you attach to a tax return or hand to an accountant.

If the numbers look wrong

A gift is missing. The statement only covers donations made through Donately, and only those recorded against the email address you are signed in with. Two things commonly explain a gap:

  • You gave with a different email address. Each address is its own dashboard. Sign in with the one you used for that gift.
  • You gave by cheque, cash, or another method outside Donately, and the organization has not recorded it yet. Ask them to add it. Once they do, it appears on your statement automatically.

An amount is not what you expected. Gifts where you received something of value in return, such as an event ticket, a dinner or merchandise, are not always fully tax deductible. The organization decides how to describe those.

Something else looks off. Contact the organization directly. They own their donation records and can correct them. Donately cannot change an organization's records on their behalf.

Donately is the payment platform, not your tax adviser. Your statement is a record of what you gave; whether a gift is deductible, and how much of it, depends on the organization's tax status and your own circumstances. Check with a tax professional if you are unsure.

Receipts for a single gift

The statement is a yearly summary. For the receipt from one specific donation, open Donations in the sidebar, find the gift, and use Resend receipt to have it emailed to you again.
